Finch Employment (“Finch”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information through this website and our recruitment services, in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information we collect

• Employers: your name, company, work email, phone number, details of the roles you need to fill and any job description you send us.
• Candidates: your name, email, phone number, field of work, your resume and anything you include in it.
• Referrals: your contact details and the contact details of the business you refer, which you confirm they have agreed to share.
• Website use: basic technical information such as your browser type and pages visited, collected by our hosting provider and by the analytics and advertising tools described below.

How we use it

• To respond to hiring requests and provide recruitment services to employers.
• To consider candidates for suitable roles and contact them about opportunities.
• With a candidate’s consent, to share their resume and relevant details with a prospective employer.
• To follow up on referrals and administer the referral program.
• To keep records required for our business and to meet legal obligations.

Consent

By submitting a form you consent to us using your information for the purpose described on that form. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing [email protected]; we will then stop using your information except where we must keep it by law.

Service providers

Website forms are delivered to our email through a third-party form service (FormSubmit). Our website is hosted by a third-party provider and uses Google Fonts and an embedded Google Map. These providers process information on our behalf or as needed to deliver their services, and may store or process it outside Canada.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We may use Google Tag Manager to run analytics and advertising measurement tools on this website, such as Google Analytics and the advertising tools of Google, Microsoft (Bing), Meta and LinkedIn. These tools use cookies or similar technologies to understand how visitors find and use the site and to measure our advertising, including whether a visit led to a form being sent. We do not send the contents of the forms you submit to these tools.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on, and change your ad preferences in your Google, Microsoft, Meta or LinkedIn account settings. Blocking cookies does not stop you from using the website or sending us a form.

How long we keep information

We keep employer and candidate information only as long as it is needed for the purposes above, or as required by law. Candidates can ask us at any time to remove their resume from our files.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft and unauthorized access, and we limit access to people who need it to do their work.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us at [email protected] or 416-551-6111. If you have concerns we cannot resolve, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
