What a licensed plumber does
Licensed plumbers install, maintain and repair the piping, fixtures and drainage systems that supply water to buildings and carry waste away. In new construction they rough in drains, vents and water lines and set fixtures. In service roles they diagnose leaks, clear blockages, replace water heaters and handle emergency calls. Plumber 306A is a compulsory trade in Ontario, so certification matters for every hire.
The best plumbers combine technical skill with good judgment and a professional attitude on site or in a customer's home. Finch confirms each candidate's 306A certificate, then looks at their mix of new construction, service and renovation work, their knowledge of the plumbing requirements in the Ontario Building Code and how they communicate with customers and supervisors. You meet plumbers suited to the work you actually do.
